Upholstery Cleaning in Livermore: Sofa and Chair Prices, Dry Time
Why we bundle it with carpet
The truck is parked outside. The hoses are in the house. Adding a sofa takes about 20 minutes. That is why the bundled price is what it is, and why doing upholstery on its own visit costs more anywhere you go.
What we clean
- Loveseats $170, 3-seat couches $188, L-shape and U-shape sectionals $235 to $405 by size
- Armchairs and recliners $65
- Benches and ottomans $35
- Mattresses $135, any size
The fabric tag
Look under a cushion for the cleaning code tag. W means water-based cleaning is fine, which is most modern upholstery. S means solvent only, and we will not put water on it. WS means either, and X means vacuum only. If there is no tag, we test a hidden spot first and tell you what we found.
Pet hair and pet odor on furniture
Pet hair comes out with the extraction tool. Pet urine on a sofa is harder than on carpet because there is no pad to treat and cushion foam holds odor. We can treat it, but we are honest about the odds, and for a badly soaked cushion, foam replacement is sometimes the answer.
Dry time
Cushions dry in 2 to 6 hours. Stand them on edge and point a fan at them. The frame dries faster than the cushions.
Upholstery cleaning in Livermore: what the crew actually does
Vacuum the piece including the crevices where crumbs and pet hair collect. Test a hidden spot for colorfastness. Pre-treat arms, headrests and seat cushions, which carry the body oils that turn fabric dark. Hot water extraction with a hand tool across every surface. A dry pass to pull moisture so cushions are usable in a few hours. Decorative pillows are not included but we will do them if you ask.
Fabrics we see most in Livermore homes
Microfiber and polyester dominate anything bought in the last ten years and clean up like new. Cotton and linen blends clean well but can water-spot if over-wet, so the crew works in smaller sections. Performance fabrics from the big furniture chains are built for this. Velvet needs care. Silk and some vintage pieces go to a specialist, and we will say so before touching them.
Pet hair and pet accidents on furniture
Hair comes out with the extraction tool. Urine on a cushion is harder than on carpet because foam holds odor and there is no pad to treat. We treat it, we are honest about the odds, and for a badly soaked cushion, new foam is sometimes the real fix.
